THE WILLOWSHED
basic woodworking for young children
Children love to learn, they love to work with their hands and they are so very proud when they make someting themselves. I teach children how to safely work with wood working hand tools. They learn to measure, saw, hammer, use a brace drill, nail, drive screws, sand, and more related skills. In this class the children use hand tools only, never any power equipment. Under very close supervision the kids get to learn how to use the various tools correctly and are guided through the steps needed to complete a very basic "kid friendly" project. Parents are welcome to attend with their child at no additional cost.
This class will build self estemm and confidence in the child, support math understanding, sequencing, following instructions and problem solving.
The charge for the class is $15.00 per shop hour.
