Inside the Woodworking Studio
This class teaches the student to correctly and safely use common household tools such as the circular saw, chop saw. hand drills, hand saws, hammers, clamps, measuring devices, planes, and sanders. The student will also learn skills like layout, wood selection, measuring,
counter sinking, glue ups, clamping, and finishing. The student will be able to use the learned information to make their own repairs or build their own basic furniture.
The class is hands on and the students work at their own pace building a project that they have chosen from over 10 projects that we offer. There are benches ( both deck and interior), several tables, cook out grill surround, garden arbor, and side board. When the class is done the project goes home with the student to enjoy and show off.
The charge for this class is $20.00 per shop hour plus a
materials/supply fee. If two people attend and work together on the same project the class is $15,00 per shop hour plus the material/supply charge. Please call the school at 765.795.7322 to register.
